President Trump's nominee for Attorney General, William Barr, is headed for a vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee - Senator Joni Ernst has the chance to oppose Barr, stand up to Trump, and protect the rule of law. Barr repeatedly refused to promise to recuse himself from the Russia investigation if confirmed. And Trump picked Barr for a reason - he publicly criticized the Mueller investigation and argued that there is no check on the President's power. AG Jeff Sessions recused himself from overseeing the Mueller investigation, but Barr won't.
