Republicans in the Iowa Legislature want to make cuts to unemployment, hurting Iowa families. If this legislation goes through, families will have to endure a one week waiting period to receive benefits and many will have their unemployment collection cut from 39 weeks to 26 weeks. We can't let more Iowans suffer during this pandemic, especially while politicians sit on a large "rainy day" fund.
